Where does your ideal client hang out?
Last week we talked about how to connect with your ideal clients on an emotional level. Now that you have a better idea of who your ideal client is, it’s time to get yourself in front of them. Here’s how…
The first step is to figure out where they “hang out.” Then, you need to establish a presence where they hang out – whether that’s online via Social Media or blogs, or at local businesses or events – and then get to know them.
Answer these questions with your ideal client in mind:
1 What websites do they visit?
2 Do they participate in Social Media? If so, which ones (Facebook, Instagram, Periscope, etc)?
3 Do they frequent any local restaurants or stores in your area (if you ideal client is local)?
4 What brands do they like? (i.e. If they are adventure enthusiasts what are some of the brands they rely on for their equipment. If your ideal client is a bride, what are some of the other wedding vendors she is working with?)
Once you have answered these questions, here are just a few of many ideas to start hanging out with and getting to know your ideal clients:
- Follow the same brands and businesses on Social Media
- Offer to write guest posts on the websites they visit
- Reach out and partner with a local businesses
- Attend the same events they attend, either as a vendor or as a participant
