You may think that it’s nearly impossible to read a book a week because like me, you have a jam packed life. In this video I give you my secrets for reading tons of books each year despite having a big FULL life.
Why Reading Is SO Important To Your Success & Well Being
Good books nourish your mind, nourish your soul, program your brain for success, teach you new things, boost your imagination and creativity, expand your understanding of the world, increase your awareness, improve your copywriting and communication skills, increase your happiness, and help you live your best life.
The majority of highly successful and happy people are avid readers. This is no coincidence.
How To Read a Book a Week
Below are a few strategies for incorporating reading into your life.
1. Listen to audio books when you’re driving, cooking, folding laundry, cleaning the house, doing dishes, gardening, out for a walk/jog, doing your hair and makeup, standing in line, sitting in the salon having your hair colored or getting your nails done, when you’re on the treadmill, on airplanes and in airports, and getting ready for bed.
When I’m moving around or out in public, I’ll play an audio book on my phone with my headphones in and tuck my phone in the back of my yoga pants or the back pocket of my jeans or in a pocket of my purse (if I’m holding a purse). This allows me to move around while listening to a book.
2. Read for a few minutes before you doze off to sleep. Even if it’s just five minutes, it helps add up the number of books you consume each year.
3. Always carry a book or your Kindle/tablet with you. You may be surprised at how often you have an opportunity to read when you’re waiting for something. The other day I took my phone in to get the cracked screen fixed. It took them 25 minutes to fix it and I of course couldn’t check emails or return calls because they had my phone, so I pulled the book out of my purse and read for 25 minutes. I find that these little opportunities to read come up quite often if you look for them.
Two Resources I Mentioned In the Video
Audible Audio Books
The Kindle Paperwhite

Yes, I too love paper books. My son bought me a Kindle for Christmas and its perfect for travel. Audio is great also! I love learning!
I love to read. Long before I ever left the US, my books took me to many exotic locations! I have learned so much from reading information, then applying it!!
I get my reading in by going to bed one hour earlier, so I can read before going to sleep!
That’s fantastic, Regina. A good read right before bed is the best!
