If you’re contemplating how you can improve your travel agent business now and into the new year, then I think you’re going to find today’s Travel Expert Insider really helpful.
I made you a short video that shows you a simple, but very important thing that you can do to improve your travel business. This is something many travel agents overlook or don’t know how to do, which limits their success and causes you to waste time and money.
If you’re wondering how to improve your travel agent business, the answer is you need to track your efforts and results. What gets measured, gets improved. In this video I’m going to walk you through the things you need to be tracking so you can make smart decisions that improve your travel agent business.
There are four primary sets of stats that you to need to tracking in your business so that you can make smart decisions on how to improve your travel agent business. Below this video you can download a Tracking Spreadsheet to use in your business which will help you track all four of the categories I’m going to go over with you now.
The FIRST category is your Opt-In Stats.
These are the number of people that sign up for your newsletter from you home page, from each squeeze page you have, and so on.
The SECOND category is your Social Media Stats.
For example, if you use Facebook for your travel agency, then you would track how many new likes you get each week on your business Facebook page. Your Reach and your Engagement.
The THIRD category is your Web Stats.
This is how many people come to your website each week, how long they stay, your bounce rate, and so on.
The FOURTH category is your Bookings.
The number of free consultations you give, the number of new clients you sign on, the dollar amount of new bookings, your commissions received, and so on.
If you’re in the Travel Expert Marketing Academy, in module 26 we show you exactly what each of these stats are and how to quickly and easily track them each week on your Tracking Spreadsheet so you know exactly how to improve your travel agent business.
Now I’d love to hear from you. Are you already doing a great job of tracking some of these things, and what are some of the other things you’re currently tracking in your business? Please share in the comments below.
Love & Success,
Heidi and Your Marketing Team
