Last week you determined your specific niche. Now it’s time to attract the ideal client within that niche. Even though it can be a little scary at first, narrowing your target actually saves time and money and increases your chances of attracting more ideal clients.
Why? Because once you know where they hang out and what matters to them, you can get crystal clear on where to direct precious energy and resources to attract them to your business. Your marketing gets leaner and more streamlined.
Knowing your clients at an emotional level is essential. Your job is to understand what your potential clients are longing for and the reasons they don’t want to plan their own trip. Then you make it clear that working with you means they 1.) get what they long for, and 2.) don’t have to deal with the hassles, inconveniences, anxieties, and stresses that come with planning their own vacations.
- How do they feel about planning their trip when they call you? Are they overwhelmed or scared or confused? Do they love the idea of luxury and a concierge service? Are they just super busy with work and family?
- What are the top 3 issues they have with planning their own trip?
- What are the top 3 things your clients will feel after you’ve expertly taken care of their vacation plans and delivered the trip of their dreams to them?
Now — go back to question #2. Use the issues you identified on your website homepage to let clients know you understand how they feel (and why they need you!). Then highlight the positive emotions from question #3 to demonstrate how you can be their travel planning hero.
When your ideal clients find your website, they will immediately feel at home, because you understand them and can solve their problems. That’s how you get them to connect with you right away — and what will prompt them to contact you!
